The second one hashes to the first.
The seed is published as a hash before the pool even closes, and released after. Anyone can replay the spin and check it lands where it landed.
“Yeah, 3.5, same.”
Opens when the last person is in.
Ratings and reviews stay sealed until the deadline passes. The first person to log it does not get to anchor everybody else.
How a week runs
Set the night of the week once. After that it spins, reminds, checks and scores by itself.
Put films forward
A couple of slots each. Back the same film as someone else and it takes a bigger wedge of the wheel, so the pool is a vote as well as a list.
The wheel picks
At the deadline, on its own. Want a double bill? An admin can add a second film on top for one week without changing anything.
Watch it, log it
One button. Miss the deadline and there is a grace period worth fewer points, which is the difference between late and absent.
Then argue
Ratings open, points land, the leaderboard moves. Streaks reward the person who never misses a week.
Bonus films
Anything anybody wants to put up alongside the main one. Watch somebody else's and you both score.
Straight recommendations
Hand a film to one person and bet on the rating they will give it. Guess closer, score more.
