A film club that keeps score.

Everyone puts films in the pool. A weighted wheel picks one. You watch it by the deadline and log it on Letterboxd. That log is the proof, so nobody has to take anyone's word for it.

How a week works

Four steps, and the club runs itself once it is set up.

  1. Step 1

    Put films forward

Everyone gets a couple of slots. Back the same film as someone else and it takes a bigger wedge of the wheel.

  2. Step 2

    The wheel picks

At the deadline, weighted by how many people backed each film. The seed is published as a hash beforehand, so nobody could have rigged it.

  3. Step 3

    Watch it and log it

Press one button and we read your public Letterboxd diary once. Timeliness comes from the date you watched, not the date you pressed it.

  4. Step 4

    Then argue about it

Ratings stay sealed until the deadline passes, so the first 3.5 of the week doesn't anchor everyone else.
